Sales Manager – United States (Sales + Technical Agronomy)
Location: Remote, U.S.
Reports To: Country Manager - North America
About Life Scientific
At Life Scientific, we’re doing things differently — very differently. We’ve disrupted a $250 billion global market and are on a mission to become the world’s most successful crop protection innovator.
Backed by InVivo, the largest agricultural co-operative in Europe, we’re scaling fast and globally — and we’re just getting started.
Our business is deeply human, powered by shared leadership, sharp minds, and a sense of fun. We combine the pace of a start-up with the strength of a scale-up. No politics. No passengers. Just passionate people doing great work.
About the Role
This role isn’t just about sales — it’s about impact and influence. You’ll be the face of Life Scientific in the U.S., driving commercial growth while building credibility with growers, distributors, and technical influencers.
We’re looking for someone who blends commercial acumen with agronomic expertise — someone who can sell, educate, and partner with key players across the agricultural ecosystem. You’ll collaborate across our global teams and help shape the U.S. go-to-market strategy from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
1. Drive Growth and Market Penetration
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and gross margin targets.
- Expand market share across priority regions within the Corn Belt and Northern Plains while identifying opportunities for expansion across other key agricultural areas (e.g., Central and Southern Plains, South East, West Coast).
- Identify and develop new distribution partnerships and direct customer relationships.
2. Build Lasting Relationships
- Establish and maintain trusted partnerships with distributors, co-operatives, and growers.
- Foster deep engagement with agricultural universities and Extension Services to demonstrate value created from inclusion of Life Scientific products in local agronomy programs and recommendations.
- Represent Life Scientific with professionalism and authenticity — because people do business with people.
3. Partner Across Teams
- Collaborate closely with R&D, Marketing, Agronomy, and Supply Chain to align product availability and positioning with customer needs.
- Contribute to U.S. go-to-market planning, sharing market intelligence and field insights to shape product launch priorities and messaging.
4. Technical Agronomy Leadership
- Serve as a technical resource to customers, demonstrating strong agronomic understanding of key crops (corn and soybeans required; wheat, potatoes, cotton, and other specialty crops preferred).
- Support distributor training and product performance discussions.
- Act as the liaison between commercial and technical teams to troubleshoot issues, including product handling or performance concerns in the field.
5. Performance and Execution
- Track and analyze sales performance using available tools (Excel, CRM-in-development, etc.), and report insights to leadership.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and data systems as the U.S. business scales.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven sales experience within crop protection, ag chem, or related agribusiness sectors.
- Strong agronomic foundation, ideally with exposure to both row crops and specialty crops.
- Existing relationships with distributors, co-ops, and growers — and the ability to build new ones quickly.
- Collaborative mindset: able to bridge technical and commercial conversations seamlessly both internally and externally.
- Entrepreneurial drive: scrappy, resourceful, and comfortable building a new market.
- Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and technical.
- Adaptability in a fast-moving, evolving organization.
- Familiarity with U.S. agricultural university networks (e.g., Iowa State, Purdue, Illinois, Kansas State, Nebraska, etc.) is a strong advantage.
- A willingness to travel regionally as required.
Why You’ll Love It Here
A mission that matters — help reshape global agriculture.
Growth opportunities — your role will grow as we grow.
Freedom to innovate — autonomy and ownership are in our DNA.

Recognition — your impact will be seen and celebrated.
The Ideal Profile
- Mid-career sales/agronomy professional passionate about building something new.
- A relationship-driven seller with technical credibility.

- Entrepreneurial, curious, and motivated by growth and purpose.
- Comfortable working independently while connected to a global mission.
