Regulatory Data Strategy Leader – Crop Protection
Crop Protection | Canada / North America (with occasional travel to Dublin HQ)
About Life Scientific
Life Scientific operates in a $250 billion global crop protection market.
Our model is focused, disciplined and commercially sharp.
We reverse-engineer off-patent crop protection products — bringing high-quality alternatives to market while navigating some of the most complex regulatory frameworks in the world.
In North America, data compensation is not a side issue.
It is a strategic lever.
Every portfolio decision touches it.
Every registration pathway depends on it.
Every negotiation tests it.
As we scale across Canada and North America, we are strengthening how we think about regulatory data strategy — and we are looking for someone to own it.
The Opportunity
This role exists for one reason:
To ensure we make the right calls when data access becomes a commercial decision.
As Regulatory Data Strategy Leader, you will be Life Scientific’s internal authority on PMRA data compensation strategy in Canada.
You will sit at the intersection of:
Regulatory science
Commercial portfolio planning
Economic valuation
Legal positioning
High-stakes negotiation
You will guide “wait, pay or litigate” decisions — ensuring we maintain a strong regulatory and commercial position as we expand our North American portfolio.
This is not a documentation role.
It is a strategic decision-making role.
You will influence which products move forward — and how.
This Role Is For You If You…
You are comfortable operating where regulation and commercial reality collide.
You instinctively ask:
What is the true scope of reliance here?
What is defensible under PMRA precedent?
What is the economic exposure?
Is this worth paying for — or challenging?
You enjoy structured decision-making in complex regulatory environments.
You are confident interpreting regulatory frameworks and translating them into commercial strategy.
You are calm in negotiation settings — particularly when stakes are high.
You think in scenarios, risk exposure and long-term positioning — not just immediate compliance.
You are comfortable engaging with originator companies and standing behind your position.
You don’t escalate reflexively.
You assess.
You decide.
You act.

You may come from:
Crop protection regulatory affairs
PMRA data compensation and access frameworks
Regulatory strategy within generic or reverse-engineered products
Regulatory legal or consulting roles
Originator-side data compensation exposure
What matters most:
Strong regulatory interpretation capability
Commercial judgement and economic thinking
Confidence in high-stakes negotiation environments
Structured decision-making under ambiguity
Ability to translate complex regulatory positions into clear business recommendations
Experience in Canadian crop protection regulation is highly valuable.
But intellectual sharpness and commercial maturity matter just as much.
What Success Looks Like
Within 24–36 months, you will have:
Built a clear, defensible Canadian data compensation strategy
Strengthened Life Scientific’s negotiation position with originators
Reduced unnecessary exposure while protecting portfolio growth
Influenced key go / no-go decisions across the North American pipeline
Established yourself as the trusted data compensation authority internally
Why This Role Is Different
Most regulatory roles focus on submission.
This one shapes strategy.
Most data compensation work reacts.
This role positions.
You will operate at the centre of portfolio economics in North America — influencing which products reach growers and how efficiently we bring them to market.
In a reverse-engineered model, data strategy is not administrative.
It is competitive advantage.
And you will own it.
Why Join Life Scientific?
Because you won’t be a small cog in a large regulatory machine.
You will:
Operate with autonomy
Engage directly with senior leadership
Influence portfolio growth in North America
Shape high-stakes regulatory-commercial decisions
Life Scientific is scaling.
North America is a key pillar of that growth.
And this role sits directly at the strategic heart of it.
