Own and shape the US regulatory strategy for a growing crop protection portfolio, acting as Life Scientific’s key EPA interface and driving products from concept to market.
Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist – United States
Location: United States (with occasional travel to Dublin HQ)
Company: Life Scientific
Function: Regulatory Affairs
Shape the Future of Crop Protection in the US
At Life Scientific, we take proven active ingredients and bring them back to market with precision, speed, and scientific excellence. It’s a model that demands deep regulatory expertise, strong commercial alignment, and the ability to navigate complexity with confidence.
We’re now looking for a Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist to take ownership of our US regulatory agenda - leading strategy, execution, and EPA engagement across a growing and increasingly sophisticated portfolio.
This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who thrives in complexity, understands the US regulatory landscape inside out, and can connect regulatory strategy directly to commercial outcomes.
The Role
You will be the key regulatory lead in the United States, acting as the primary interface between Life Scientific, the EPA, and external partners. You’ll play a central role in shaping how we bring products to market - from early development through to launch and lifecycle management.
You’ll also be a critical voice in cross-functional discussions, ensuring regulatory thinking is embedded early and aligned with business priorities.
What You’ll Own
Regulatory Strategy & EPA Engagement
Act as Life Scientific’s primary US-based contact with the EPA, building strong, credible, long-term relationships
Define and execute regulatory strategies across new registrations, amendments, and complex FIFRA applications
Lead regulatory direction for first-in-class, technically complex, or non-standard submissions
Own responses to EPA queries, coordinating internal and external stakeholders
Dossier Leadership & Technical Excellence
Lead the end-to-end preparation and submission of US regulatory dossiers
Ensure submissions are scientifically robust, strategically positioned, and high quality
Coordinate internal SMEs and manage external CROs and regulatory consultants
Maintain oversight of regulatory commitments across the full product lifecycle
Lifecycle Management & Regulatory Intelligence
Own regulatory lifecycle activities including registrations, amendments, label changes, and data call-ins
Stay ahead of EPA registration review processes, timelines, and evolving requirements
Build and maintain forward-looking regulatory intelligence on key actives and upcoming reviews
Identify risks and opportunities to inform portfolio and commercial strategy
Partner closely with Commercial and Portfolio teams to align regulatory direction with business goals
Cross-Functional & Commercial Impact
Translate regulatory complexity into clear, actionable business insights
Support product launches with regulatory guidance on timing, readiness, and risk
Represent Regulatory Affairs in NPI and cross-functional forums, ensuring early alignment
External Presence & Industry Engagement
Build a strong network within the US agrochemical and regulatory landscape
Develop relationships with CROs, industry bodies, and key stakeholders to strengthen our market presence
What You Bring
Degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g. chemistry, biology, toxicology, agronomy)
Strong experience in US regulatory affairs within crop protection/agrochemicals
Direct, hands-on experience working with the EPA
Proven track record managing complex or non-standard regulatory submissions
Deep understanding of the US regulatory environment and market dynamics
How You Operate
This role requires someone who combines technical authority with commercial awareness and strong personal ownership:
Owns outcomes end-to-end — takes full accountability for US regulatory delivery
Brings deep regulatory expertise — trusted voice in complex EPA interactions
Makes sound decisions — balances science, risk, and business impact
Influences without authority — leads through credibility and insight
Communicates with clarity — translates regulatory detail into business implications
Navigates ambiguity — comfortable operating where guidance is evolving
Builds strong external relationships — particularly with the EPA and CROs
Thinks beyond the immediate — anticipates lifecycle challenges and opportunities
